All the practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
|Sister Lynn Adlington|
Lynn is responsible for leading the nursing team.
Clinical areas include the management of long term conditions including heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney disease, hypertension (high blood pressure). Primary prevention of heart disease and health check follow up.
Women's health - coil and implant fitting, contraception advice/initiation.
Travel advice and vaccinations as well as general practice nurse duties.
|Sister Carol Thompson|
Carol is our Treatment room nurse for Wound management, Ear syringing and Cervical Screening.
She is also one of our stop smoking advisors, and our lead Diabetes nurse at the surgery.
She also runs a travel clinic for advice and immunisations.
|Sister Sarah Beasley|
One of the 2 Respiratory nurses at the main surgery providing care for patients with Asthma and COPD. Runs the baby and toddler immunisation clincs. Provides help and support to stop smoking as well as working as a Practice Nurse. Family planning trained. Is the practice's Research Nurse.
|Sister Anna Thomson|
Anna is mainly employed as a practice nurse to run the RAU surgery. Anna's main areas of interest are minor ailments, sexual health and mental health.
|Sister Tina McTaggart|
Tina is employed as a Practice Nurse for both Phoenix and South Cerney Surgeries.
Clinical areas include Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, and Hypertension (High blood pressure)
She supports Travel and Baby Clinics and undertakes Wound Management, Ear Syringing and Cervical Smears.
