Nurses

All the practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Sister Lynn Adlington

Nurse Manager

Lynn is responsible for leading the nursing team.

Clinical areas include the management of long term conditions including heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney disease, hypertension (high blood pressure).  Primary prevention of heart disease and health check follow up.

Women's health - coil and implant fitting, contraception advice/initiation.

Travel advice and vaccinations as well as general practice nurse duties.

Sister Carol Thompson

Carol is a Practice nurse and the lead for Diabetic care. She also runs a weekly Baby Immunisation clinic as well as doing general Practice Nursing Duties.

She is currently doing her prescribing course.

Sister Anna Thomson

Anna is mainly employed as a practice nurse to run the RAU surgery. She also works at Chesterton lane one day a week and is currently our main Travel nurse. 

Anna's main areas of interest are minor ailments, sexual health and mental health. 

Sister Tina McTaggart

Tina is a part time Practice nurse, mainly focussing on respiratory and diabetic care.

Treatment Room Nurses

Nurse Helen Lane

Helen Lane 

Helen is one of our 2 new Treatment room nurses. Helen is currently able to offer wound management, Cervical screening and Ear syringing. Both at Chesterton Lane and South Cerney.

Helen is currently taking a degree module in the management of Cardiovascular disease.

Nurse Hollie Mathias

Hollie Mathias

Hollie is one of our 2 new treatment room nurses. Hollie is currently able to offer Wound Management, Cervical Screening and Ear syringing, Both at Chesterton lane and South Cerney.

Hollie is currently taking a degree module in Asthma Management.

Healthcare Assistants

 

Mrs Teresa Sidley

Teresa holds a Regular surgery at the main surgery in Cirencester, offering blood pressure checks, B12 injections, ECG's and assisting the doctors with minor operations.

She also runs the NHS health check clinic's and leads the INR Clinic.
